My New Year’s Resolution was to try new vegetables with each growing season and this month I chose to plant Organic Turnips seeds.
Follow this link to Renee’s Garden Seeds for more information on ordering your own seeds online.
Some of my favorite flowers to plant this month are California Poppy, Carnation, Dahlia and Sage. Follow this link for a complete flower planting list : Flower Planting Guide by Digital Seed.

Hi Nadia,
I noticed you recommended Renee’s Garden Seeds. I’ve been buying her seeds for years. Love her old-timey flowers like Love-in-a-Mist and Cosmos and Love-lies-a-Bleeding.
I get my mesclun mixes and other veggies from her too.
Great nursery.

I will be interested to see how you like your turnips. Please share some recipes and ideas for eating them. With the radishes too. I may try them if you have luck and actually eat them all.Thanks. T.

I will start looking for recipes. I have another month before they will be ready to pick.
